This is a rare antique quartersawn tiger oak chifferobe made by Karges, based in Evansville, Indiana. It has beautiful ornate decals, ball and claw feet in the front, and a great original finish. The drawers are all dovetailed and the center hanger in its left side pulls out.  The left side door has "27" stamped on it, perhaps the 27th of this cabinet manuactured. The company began in 1886 and this piece is at least early 1900's.

There is some normal wear for the age but there is no veneer loss. Three pieces of hardware are missing total, two from the bottom two drawers. and one from the keyhole. The cabinet's right side is missing its drawer and the previous owner has put in a glass tray in its spot as a substitute. 

Measures approximately 58.5'' tall, 47'' long, and 20'' wide.
